Liebster Award

Hello readers!

Thanks Melissa for nominating me Liebster’s award. Check out her lovely blog by clicking her name.
Some people might think that it’s tedious to answer the questions, but definitely not me. I’m really glad that I’ve got the opportunity to do so. It’s my honor. Hence, right after I was nominated, I just quickly start writing this post hahaha, full of enthusiasm hor.
Melissa’s questions for the nominees:
1.  Who or what do you love most in life?
I love my family and friends. Thing I love to do most in life will be sleeping, hahaha :)

2. If you had the choice of changing your life story would you or would you not? and why?
Yes, I would like to change my life story, I wonder what it’s like, to ‘live’ differently.

3. What is the first thing you see when you wake up in the morning?
My phone. Hahaha wake up, take out my phone and check notifications, maybe answer some important calls as well.

4. What is last thing you see before you sleep at night?
Phone. I just can’t sleep without checking out my iPhone before sleeping, look for the emails, Facebook notification, twitter notification and Instagram.

5. If you had the chance to say something to someone, knowing that it would be the last time you see them, who and what would it be?
That would be my aunt, I didn’t get to say an appropriate ‘goodbye’ before she left us. I would like to thanks her for doing so many deeds for me and always be understanding. I’ll take good care of myself and she doesn’t have to worry of me.

6. What do you look forward in the future?
Living in Australia? I wonder what it would be like.

7. If you found a bag with tons of money in it, what would you do and why?
Look for the ownership. If it’s someone I know, I would love to prank him/her first before returning hahaha. If I don’t know the owner, I’ll send it to 'lost and found’ counter. I will never take the money for my own usage as I believe in Karma.

8. If you were deserted in an island, what are the 5 things that you would like to bring along?
Handphone, laptop, Sony walkman, money and canned food. Hahahah Generation Y LOL.

9.  If you had children, would you decide their future, or would you leave it to them to decide? and why?
I would decide for them before they gets mature. It could save them some troubles before they have turned adults, but still give them freedom when they gets mature. Like what my parents do to me.After all, it’s your children’s live. Trust them and who knows? They might be someone better than you’ve expected.

10. What is the most embarrassing moment that ever happen in your lifetime?
Stage panicking. I have a fear towards the stage and I just can’t stop embarrassing myself whenever I have to perform on the stage. True story.

11. What do you like to have for breakfast?
Pancake with honey served with hot chocolate. That’s the best breakfast ever.

Here are my nominees:

Here are my questions:
1. When did you started blogging?
2. How did you started blogging?
3. What is the most annoying thing for being a blogger?
4. What is the happiest thing of being a blogger?
5. If you are given a chance to live other’s life, who would you choose?
6.What is your favorite movie? Why?
7.What is your favorite food and drinks?
8. What is your favorite country?
9. What is in your our top 5 wish list?
10. What is your favorite song?
11. What is your most embarrassing experience?

Thank you for answering the questions :) Hopefully it won’t be too troublesome for you girls :)

Show Your Love to Typhoon Haiyan Victims

Humans are so fragile.
"It’s been two weeks since the Haiyan Typhoon barrelled into the Philippines on the 8th of November but the search for bodies continues. This monster typhoon has injured over 20,000 people and over 1,600 people were reported missing up to date. More than 800, 000 people had been asked to leave their homes – that do not exist anymore as a result to the catastrophic disaster. The death toll has spiked to 5,235 and the list just keeps getting longer.”- Nuffnang Malaysia

Its really sad to hear about the Haiyan Typhoon which happened in Philippines.
It’s a natural disaster, normal human-being like us would never be able to avoid such disasters, but that doesn’t mean that we can’t do anything. We can try to give out some help and show them some love by donating money for the Typhoon relief works. In fact, this is not about ‘money’, this is a matter of ‘life’. What’s more important than life?

Please do your part to help out the victims. Who would have imagined that, everything’s demolished one day and even your family or friends have passed away, and you’re being left there hopelessly and feeling lost.

Nuffnang Bloggers can contribute by donating Nuffnang earnings to them. I’ve done my part, have you?

More information on how you can show your love to Typhoon Haiyan Victims, please click: http://blog.nuffnang.com.my/2013/11/25/distribute-your-relief-for-typhoon-haiyan/

September Edition Bag of Love

Can't believe it's my fourth Bag of Love already!

Photo belongs to Bag Of Love.

I've been anticipating the bag for quite a while because Bag of Love is always filled with surprises.
This month's Bag of Love is based on 'Traveling' theme.

Here's the content of the September's bag:

Apply evenly onto cleansed face and neck. Can be used alone, under a moisturiser or make up.

Eternity Aqua Woman Rollerball EDP, 6ml, RM49
Roll onto pulse points such as your inner wrists, base of the neck, and behind your ears.
This product is not for sale in Malaysia.

RVB Skinlab Diego Dalla Palma Cell Detoxium Purifying Clay Mask, 1 sachet, RM29,90
Apply a generous layer on cleansed, dry skin once a week for 10 minutes. Rinse.

NUXE Huile Prodigieuse Shimmer Multi-Purpose Dry Oil, 100ml, RM198
Apply on face, hands and legs for skin that radiate from within. Ruffle through hair to achieve a full volume and shimmering effect.

Swiss Line Force Vitale Aqua Vitale Cream, 50ml, RM368
Apply on the face and neck on its own or after serum in circular movements.

O'slee Rosehip Beauty Solution Advanced Formula III, 100ml, RM59.990
Splash on to face, neck and body in place of toner, make up base or body lotion. For deep moisturizing, soak a cotton pad and place over the face then remove after 5 minutes.
This travel size is exclusively made in Hong Kong for Bag of Love.

Of all these products, my favorite items are O'slee Beauty Solution and CK Eternity Aqua Body Roller (in fact I haven't used others yet hahaha). The O'slee Beauty Solution makes my skin much smoother, and my skin feel so pampered after the application, I will definitely purchase a full bottle when I finished it. Besides that, CK Eternity Aqua Body Roller has very amazing scent, so in love with it.

Applause for Mimi for doing such a great job on Bag of Love!

Crooked

I'm so addicted to G-Dragon's 'Crooked'. I listen to the song everyday, while I drive or during gym.
When I lose my motivation to run, I just keep listening to the song and keep imaging that G-Dragon is running in front of me just like the MV and he looks really depressed.
I have to run as fast as possible to get to him hahahhaa.
So embarrassed to actually tell this in public.

Click this link for the MV. Trust me, it totally worths your time.

My 3CE Shopping Hauls and Review! Part 2!

Hello! An nyeong! Remember I blogged about my 3CE shopping hauls?
There are so many things to talk about, when comes to 3CE, and hence I've decided to divide them into three parts for a more specific and clearer overview of the products.

For the previous post, I've given a brief introduction on 3CE by Stylenanda, and I've done a review on their shimmer stick, silky pore balm and not forgetting the most talk about lip pigment.
Today, I'll continue my review on honey water mist and skin finger sponge.

Let me start with my skin finger sponge.
You might wonder what's that due to its unique design.

This photo will clearly explain what's that about:
I usually apply my foundation by using my fingers, I was mesmerized by the special finger design sponge and hence I have decided to give it a try. It's really soft and adorable. It helps me to apply the foundation evenly compared to using fingers. I love it, however it's too pricey for a sponge. I got the sponge for RM38, which is considered cheap compared to other sellers. It is definitely overpriced.
I love the sponge, but it's too expensive for a sponge.

Ratings:

I'll continued with my Honey Water Mist review.
In fact, this product is not really that famous and well promoted compared to the others,
however I was captivated by the word 'honey'.  I'm obsessed of honey,
don't ask me why coz I've no freaking clue, hahaha maybe it's due to the scent?
Anyway, I just can't wait to try the water mist once I received the product and I was curious about the scent and texture. I thought that it would smell like 'honey', but in fact it didn't. *slight disappointment* Even so, it still smells really good. Out of my surprise, the honey water mist works really effectively on my skin. My skin absorbs the water mist right after I sprayed it, I applied it every day followed by my makeup. It well hydrates my skin.

**p/s: result might vary on different skin condition

Definitely recommended!!

Ratings:

Here's an important thing which I keep emphasized on. There are many knock off items on the market right now, please do not buy those sellers which are selling 3CE at much lower rate compared to the market price cause there's a high chance that it's a fake 3CE cosmetics. I bet that you wouldn't want to apply fake or replica cosmetics on your face right, so please make sure that you're getting the products from a reliable seller. I personally recommended @pawanna_shop (instagram shop) as they only sell genuine products and the seller is extremely friendly.

Alright, there goes the end of my post. Hope my reviews help!

Bag of Love [July Edition]

Hello readers!
Do you still remember that I've blogged about the April and May edition of Bag of Love? I've never thought that I will actually fall in love with any beauty box until I get the opportunity to try it out by myself. The feeling is superb, especially when the parcel has reached your house and you just can't wait to 'unbox' it since you have no freaking clue about the content of the bag.

Unboxing my July Edition Bag of Love!

And yes, these are all for RM39.90 only. Totally worth the price and I really love the July Edition Bag of Love. Bag of love has been improving from months to months and I just can't wait for the August Edition Bag of Love to launch.

That's all for today's post and I just can't wait to start my degree semester four by tomorrow.
Thank you for reading!

It's all about Baby Joelle!!

It's been awhile since I've last blogged about my baby boss aka baby Joelle.
In fact, if you've been following me on instagram (@iamlizzieleong), you would have known that I'm currently having my semester break and I've been spending a lot of time playing with my little niece, baby Joelle. Time really flies, in less than three months time from now, Joelle will be celebrating her first birthday and of course, as her aunt, hopefully I don't have any assignment submission so that I'm able to attend baby Joelle's birthday party.

Here are some snapshot I took last week, and as usual, using my baby Nex-F3.
Recently, I've always been carrying my baby camera everywhere with me as I don't wanna miss any chance to capture memorable and beautiful shots. It has started to turn into a new habit. I'm still new into this 'photography' area, so please bear with me alright? Soon I will be able to capture better photos (I guess hehe!).

Baby Joelle's ootd: Uniqlo

The gif. quality ain't good due to I have 0 knowledge about Adobe Photoshop and thus I can only use a free website to transfer the photos into gif, which leads to the bad quality. Sorry for the bad quality gif.
These photos are taken when Baby Joelle crawls at me after seeing a new toy (my camera), look at how desperate she is, isn't that adorable?

FYI, Baby Joelle can now walk using her baby walker and she actually started to babble now.
She likes to say "blah..blah..blah blah blah" repeatedly. She's approximately 9kg now and thus carrying her seems to be a hard task now.

Moustache Tee

Look what I’m wearing here

\/

I’m wearing a mustache tee. Oh yeah! *shake my ass*
As what I’ve mentioned in my earlier post on mustache trend, I’m really obsessed of mustache tee
but I couldn’t find it anywhere.

So a few days ago, my lil sister Samantha was browsing the Facebook and coincidently she
spotted an online boutique selling mustache tee on the timeline.
She told me and I was really excited and started looking at the photo catalogue.

Not only the purple mustache tee that I’m wearing, the mustache tee comes in 4 other colors as well.

Ain’t these tee shirts look so adorable??
Not only that, it’s not purely for females, but also males as well.
And the best part, each tee only costs 28 bucks!!!

Ombre Nails tutorials

Hello hello my beautiful readers, do you all love colors?
Like me, I personally love ombre or dip-dyed hairstyle a lot and yet I have got no courage to get it because it’s way too bold.

source: http://stepheezybeezy.tumblr.com/post/3817033295/ombre-hair-looks-like-so-much-fun

This hairstyle just looks so fun and young!!
But honestly, not everyone can really manage to handle this hairstyle.
I mean if you were a model or what, it was okay, but if you’re just a super ordinary people, probably you would end up looking like a mess.

It’s way to easy to go wrong with the ombre or dip dyed hair!

Take for an example:
source: http://mystylebell.com/2011/05/24/what-is-ombre-hair-color/

This looks good on Jessica Biel. But this kind of color could be little bit tricky.
To get these awesome ombre hair, please do go for a higher quality hair saloon for more professional services and consultation.

Don’t believe me? Alright you might be ending up looking like this:

source: http://stylerefine.com/2011/05/13/summer-hairdos/

Alright Drew Barrymore looks like she has not been dying her hair for quite awhile with the black roots and her hair looks so unhealthy and frizzy.

source: iamrochelle.com

That’s the worst ombre hair I’ve even seen!!
There was once I spotted a Korean student in my campus who really rocks her ombre hair.
I was like super envious and had the enthusiasm to get this hairstyle as well,
but there’s a fact that I couldn’t deny, I just cannot manage to handle this hairstyle.
Of course there are people out there who look really good with their ombre hairstyle.
But seriously, it’s really rare, like 1 out of every 10 person?!

Do you get what I’m trying to say here?
It’s simply way too tough for most of us to rock this kinda ombre/dip dyed hairstyle.
But here’s the thing, I’m really into this ombre thingy although I knew that it’s not really for me.
But what can I do? go for this even it doesn’t suit me?
Definitely a big no-no!
Why would I even try to force myself to fit in this ombre hairstyle even though it doesn’t suit me!

Instead, why not I just apply the ombre trend on my nails??
In that way, I’ll not be able to go wrong easily and always keep up with the trend.
I’m so brilliant hahahhaha
source: worldpressgirl.info

To be honest, and obviously for those who have been reading my previous blog posts knew that I’m really not good at nail arts. The biggest reason for it is due to I am really extremely impatient and not artsy as well. I know it would be really easy for me to just get the ombre nails done at the nail saloons, it would save up a lot of time and extremely convenient. But there’ll be no satisfaction from doing these ombre nails. Furthermore it’s usually not cheap, a normal saloon might charge us approximately 40 bucks just for the fingers, but it doesn’t stay long. We might just scrape off the nail polish and might need to go back to the saloon every week for touch up or to do a new one. It’s really not worth it especially for a student who has limited allowance.

Alright, so I’ll be doing a ombre nail art tutorial.
Don’t worry, it’s really easy to make your own ombre nail art! Just follow these simple steps on my nail tutorial video and hopefully you guys really love it as I really put in a lot of efforts and courage.
This is the first tutorial video that I made. Just enjoy it.

It’s purely just for fun and sharing. And duh I’m not professional, so please forgive my imperfection.
For those who don’t appreciate my video, you can just leave it there without watching it.

So, yeah, have fun peeps!

NN Blogopolis 2012!

After months of anticipating, I've finally went to Nuffnang Blogopolis 2012 and MTV World Stage yesterday. I had insomnia the night before the big day as I was too excited. No matter how much I force myself to fall asleep (listening to soft music), it just doesn’t work at all.

Didn’t sleep all night and therefore had super severe dark circle underneath my eyes. Concealed the dark circle and done dressing up and went to pick up Mandy. Bought MCD chicken muffin for breakfast and started our journey to Concorde Hotel (next to Hard Rock Cafe).

It was early (around 8am) and when we reached the lobby, we saw a large crowd of people lining up at the registration desk. We walked around the Concorde Hotel to have a look.
FYI Concorde Hotel is such a strategic hotel as it’s situated at the centre of KL and really near to shopping malls such as Pavilion.

Spotted many famous bloggers.

Alright done registering, got our name tags and goodies bag.

Snapshot of Ms. Mandy

After non stop capturing photos, we went in the ballroom.

These is how the ballroom looks like. It looks so elegant.

Yeah, Nuffnang rocks!!

looks so rude here. hahaha don’t care! upload still!

So we went to look for seats and surprisingly, we are sitting at the first row, feeling so VIP.

Oh yeah!

Alright, to be honest, it’s because I bought the passes quite early therefore I got such privilege.

They have this countdown timer at the stage which is really considerate.

Alright while waiting for the Blogopolis to start, here’s selfca time!!

And I took a sneak peak on the goodies bag content. Got some brochures from P1, a Nuffnang Blogopolis Tee, and a souvenir cup.

This is a animation version of the blogger speakers. They look so adorable. I wondered who’s the talented one who drew them.
Can identify each of them??

Hui Wen and Sixthsense giving master class.  They have shared a lot of useful blogging tips.
Been reading Hui Wen’s blog reveling for quite a while, and Hui Wen looks so good in real person!

Got a chance to take a photo with the pretty elegant Vivy aka Proudduck before she went on stage.
Her face is so freaking small. Big head me. I’m like a giant right besides her.!!
Was really hesitate whether to upload this photo or not, but like what XiaXue has taught,
we gotta be honest all the time.
hahhahaaha

Speakers Proudduck and Beautiful Nara.
Very interesting talk given by them. But there’s one thing, I can’t really catch up with
what Beautiful Nara said as my BM kinda sucks. Even so, he’s really humorous.

The nuffies are really professional in organizing this event in order to make it a success.
Obviously, they have put in a lot of effort and I do appreciate that.
I was really impressed by them.
I remembered during one of the refreshment, one of the nuffies,
The pretty Emelia was afraid that we might get bored and asked us if we need any help or what.
She’s such a nice person.

Besides all these master classes, there are actually a lot of contests carried out throughout the event, thanks to the sponsors MPH, P1, Toshiba and exabytes.

Alright, not long ago before lunch time, I’ve spotted a pink hair girl looking so bold sitting in the crowd and her pink hair outshines everyone besides her.
And I was like ohmygosh! That’s Xia Xue and her husband Mike is here as well!
I’ve been reading her blog for years and this is the first time that I actually see her in real person!!!
Like a paparazzi, Mandy and I tried to take their photos went we were walking out to have our lunch buffet but I was unable to take a clear shot.

So all of us went to have lunch. They were lining up the queue with Audrey aka Fourfeetnine and her fiancé aka Nuffnang founder Timothy. I was impressed (x2) as I thought that they might have their own VIP tables or what. Well they don’t! and they’re just like us, standing and eating at the small table. Thumbs up!

After the lunch, Mandy and I was really can’t wait and went to take photos with Xiaxue.
My hands were shivering while talking to her and cannot hold my phone properly.
I was really nervous and awkward as well.
And XiaXue aka Wendy’s like: “Why don’t you ask your friend to hold the phone?”
Then I was like “oh yeah!” and ask Mandy to take a photo for us. noob me hahahaha

She’s just being so nice!!!! And yeah she’s wearing a neon yellow jacket looking so chic!

Hui Wen and I! And she’s not just awesome but friendly as well!!
Such a lovely blogger she is. The way she talked to us is just like talking to old friends.
Another thumbs up for Hui Wen!

alright so it’s time for Xia Xue masterclass.

She’s so hilarious and bold. And she’s really generous enough to share us some blogging tips.
What a straight forward person she is. She’s way too awesome. Many haters might say that she’s fake and so on so forth, but believe me, she’s not.
She’s way more genuine compared to most of the people in our real life, she doesn’t tell lies and really brave to show the real her. Take for an example, in her guide to liven guide to blogging,
she said: “Of course I won’t be telling you everything because of my livelihood right,
I have to be stayed at the top, but you can be somewhere far below me, but not that insignificant”
Awhh ain’t that cute??
She’s just so honest hahahhahhaa love her so much.

I left right after her master class as I had to rush for the next event, which is the MTV World Stage.
Overall I had much fun and really grateful that some of the speakers have given really useful blogging tips. The nuffies did really great job. Again, *thumbs up* for them.

I shall be posting the MTV world stage event soon! just keep reading it!
