Last last friday night, we celebrated Kam's birthday celebration at Namoo on the park, Publika.
It's a Korean dessert cafe and bistro, FYI Namoo means tree in korean.
I heard that the owner of this restaurant was inspired by the name 'Namoo' (tree) when the owner gazes out of the window (source).
It's a huge celebration in which has gathered a lot of people that have not been seeing each other for a while. 23 of us have joined the celebration and Lih Hoe was afraid that there was no enough seats for us since it's a friday night and therefore he has called for bookings :) and thanks a lot for those
who are kind enough to provide their car.
Welcome to Namoo, home to good food and romantic times.
Once we walk in the restaurant, the first thing that we can actually spot was a cute little mascot chef carrying a dish on the wall. Namoo oozes its charm with its soft lightning.
They provide fresh, natural and timeless good food which is originally korean, but unlike other ordinary korean restaurants, their food is fused with modern twist.
When I was channeled into the restaurant, I was really in love with the place, I really love places with vintage decorations, and in fact you can actually feel that the owner of the restaurant,
has put a lot of time and effort in the restaurant and based on the designs,
I personally guess that the owner is a very lovely lady.
Our table of the day! (Stole this photo from Lih Hoe)
Their signature mascot chef appears on the menu again.
Everyone's busy with their phones and fun chitchatting while waiting others to arrive.
Here's a photo of the birthday boy aka the class clown, Kam.
While waiting for the food to be served, we get bored sitting at our places because all of us are too far apart and it seems to hard for us to talk to each other, especially for those who are sitting at the table ends. There's a small little outdoor park there and we decided to chill there and have some fun.
It's a really beautiful park and it is fun to just walk around there and you can actually feel the cool breeze.
There are a small playground. hahaha look at these pretty playing with swings :)
Time for some scrumptious meal!
I ordered BiBimbap without beef and it tastes great :)
In case you order this, do remember to add the sauce into the rice, the mixture tastes really gooddd.
Choong Yik, Sam and Shaun. It's been so long since the lst time Sam and Shaun actually joined us.
Pretty girls here, Jasmine and Yen ;)
Girls' photo! Jasmine and Yen are missing hohoho.
Okay all the girls finally appeared!
Guys!
Cedric (the black shirt guy on top) seemed like promoting what kind of new products with the pose.
After we sang the birthday song, Kam the birthday boy made a wish and trying to blow off the candle.
His wish was to pass his QM subject but in fact no matter how hard he blew the candle, the fire just doesn't go off and he was like, "oh my gosh I'm so gonna failed my QM this time!" hahaha,
truth to be told, Eric and I went to buy the candle at the opposite of Namoo, the candle will be ignited once he blew off, poor Kam.
And we got Wondermilk cupcakes as birthday cake!
Oops one cupcake is missing! WHO STOLE IT?!
(based on my past experience, I personally doubt Sunaree took it heheheh)
Time for group photo!!
Stole this photo from Eric XD
Yea, so that's all for the birthday celebration at Namoo post.
We had lots of fun time celebrating and having this gathering.
We had a second round celebration at The Hill, Damansara but I'm not gonna post about it. haha.
Okay hope you guys enjoy reading it!!
-Stay Tuned-
With Love,
Lizzie L
